Our Publications…

Established in 2007, Groundings is an academic journal, for University of Glasgow students, in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. We offer a rare opportunity for students at Glasgow to have their work published, or to participate in the production and management of an academic journal. In 2024, the Libraries Committee introduced postgraduate edition, Groundings Postgraduate, which will publish for the first time later this year!

MoGUU is the Union’s official monthly magazine covering everything you need to know about life on and off campus. We are produced, written, and designed by students of the University of Glasgow. We welcome writers of all backgrounds and experience levels, and encourage any interested student writers to get in touch with their ideas.

Fleet Literary Review is a creative writing journal focused on creating a space of free expression and supportive community. We are a place for burgeoning creatives at Glasgow to publish their writing, without any limits set on genre, style or format – from the most traditional of prose to the strangest of poetry, we publish it all! We aim to be an accessible first step into the world of creative writing, so we require no prior creative writing experience, or experience of any other kind if you want to be part of our committee and contribute to our editing, publishing, graphic design, or event planning.
Hot off the press…
Groundings Undergraduate
The theme for this volume, 'Temporal Shifts: Renaissance and Retribution', seeks to explore key moments in time that cause change and the legacy of these changes in various aspects of society. Considering the upheaval of society through disease, debate, and decadence, the Editorial Team felt it was important to reflect on the way society has evolved and regressed over the centuries.
MoGUU
We blinked and it is now our 3rd edition and the cold cold month of November! Much like the weather outside, our theme has become a bit darker. With the concept of Consumed, we wished to take the previous themes and elaborate on the gloomier side. The articles cover all ways in which consumption can take over our lives.
Fleet Literary Review
Fleet, Issue 2, brings an exciting new development to this new, up and coming, edition to the libraries collection of publications. This issue explores three core themes set by the editorial board, giving writers a foundation to work with, exploring the depths of the literary world.
